Subtide Nexus

The Subtide Nexus is the vast set of pathways and caverns lying underneath Temshai. While they could ostensibly be used as an overland way of moving goods or people between continents, the dark paths are too dangerous for most to wish to travel. With the advent of air travel, few would choose to use the underground routes, and those who do often have nefarious goals and wish to avoid detection. There are many small entrances to the Subtide Nexus across the continents of Temshai, but two are most prominent. Eleth Telora, the home city of the Twilight Elves, lies beneath a cave entrance in the southwestern Verthik Mountains. The Twilight Elves patrol the paths beneath Myas'tara. On Ziltare, a chasm in the ground north of Mount Ziltare slopes slowly down, disappearing into a tunnel beneath the ground. The Shadow Gnome town of Snaddlezap lies a short distance from the tunnel's mouth, where the gnomes keep watch on travelers entering the Subtide Nexus's southeast entrypoint. Under Rasharan, the Grey Dwarves have built the Ebon Bazaar, and farther east, their own city of Dhagakhoum. The city is accessible from the surface through tunnels in the Pit of Nalash, a large quarry west of Tirsh Nalani and the Cradle of Spices.
