"... Along with your antlers," the Hunter Brigadier continued, speaking to the young graduates of the Hunter Academy, "you will each be provided a scrying stone." One of the Knights that had helped train them moved between the graduates, handing each of them a badge displaying their antlers, and a small crystal. One of the graduates quickly pinned her antlers on before looking at the stone. It was wire wrapped and attached to a small earring, perfect for keeping it close. "These stones are yours to keep, but they're to be used for Hunter business only." The brigadier commented softly. "These will allow you to speak with your squad even if you aren't in the same room. It will also allow you to keep in contact with your Academy chapter while on missions." He smiled wryly ."Keep those stones safe my bucks and does. You'll only get the one." He teased.Scrying stones are the main form of communication in Tarin. When attached to a necklace or earring, the stones allow for spoken communication between wearers. Incorporation of a dream Shoni Crystal will allow for telepathic communication as well. The components of scrying stones can also be broken down further and used to coat mirrors to create scrying mirrors that allow for both visual and audible communication.
Scrying stones are fairly commonplace. Some use them for simple communication between friends and family. Hunters will use the stones to stay in contact during missions.
