Runewing

Knights aren't the only ones who can fly.

Banner by Terry-Lynn L
Hunters, men and women dedicated to hunting down and destroying the threat of Revenants, have historically been at a loss when it comes the Revenants who brought their Wyverns with them. Runewings were designed with the express purpose of catching up to Revenants on Wyvernback so that they can be brought to justice.

Power Generation

Runewings are powered by a combination of Crystalline Essentia embedded within the structure, and runes drawn on the body. Runewings need to be recharged between flights. No external power is necessary as the essentia will recharge naturally at a slow rate. If completely depleted, new crystalline essentia will need to be added.

Propulsion

Propulsion is achieved through a combination of 'Lift', 'Speed', 'Fly', and 'Move' runes. The essentia within the structure gives power to the runes, and the rider's intention gives them the push needed to begin to move.

Communication Tools & Systems

Scrying Stones are embedded in the front of the Runewing, allowing for communication with the ground. With specialized runes for 'sight' and 'view', a scrying window can be created, and float just above the front end, allowing for visual discussion.

I would love to have an additional physical description of what these Runewings look like! But I love the fact there is thought put into runes that it uses, as well as other details. This sounds like epic way to travel!

That's strange, i tought i commented this article before... I'm curious however how is the security on it, by looking at the art. If they fly high to catch on wyverns, if they fall, do they have a parachute or glider material ?   Happy SUmmercamp ! :)

I'm not sure if they have a parachute specifically. I think most likely there are either runes to help keep them stable, or their uniforms have some sort of rune-ward embedded in them to protect them in case of a fall.
