Unexplored South
Once simply part of Azermathia, the expeditions of the Elanthai Trading Company and explorations of Antonio Brenkin have made it clear to geographers that the lands of Tarien south of the University of Karradone are indeed too vast to be considered a single locale. And while natural boundaries - such as the various Marogal Seas and the Shi-Loft Mountains carved up the subcontinent into named entities everything left simply became known as the Unexplored South.
Beginning with those Peaks just south of the Windstone Plain the region continues to use mountains as its borders as it moves north and east. Here the Mountains of Dusk and Dawn and then, further north the Mountains of Darkness provide the theoretical boundary. In truth, everything in the region remains largely unexplored but Imperial cartographers do so like to draw arbitrary lines on parchment.
What little is known of the area comes from the annual voyages of the Trading Company and is therefore limited to what can be seen from the coast. In most cases it is a jagged coastline to the north filled with dense jungle. To the south, a similarly cut coastline marks the edges of large mysterious islands populated with equally foreboding foliage. Of particular note, there appear to be a ruined towerruins rising from forests of the Troll's Fingers.
