Commander of the Republican Army
General Tariif is a lean, hard man of average height. Always clean shaven, he keeps his salt and pepper hair cropped. He generally dresses in his uniform, and walks with the confidence of a proven warrior. Although General Tariif was not born in the Hinterlands, this fourth child of Lord Randric Tariif of the Zennonaize Confederacy, he moved to Haverston at age thirty, after rising through the ranks in the fabled Zennonaize Cavalry. A graduate of the famed War College of Gartcha, he originally moved to the Hinterlands to escape military life. After purchasing one of the abandoned manors overlooking lake Haverston, he met Gretchen, daughter of a local winemaker, and fell in love. Saddled by the Hinterlands requirements for marriage, General Tariif reluctantly accepted the post as Commander of the Republican Army in 741 AC.
Lean, clean shaven, and with close cropped salt and pepper Vander is the consulate soldier. A veteran of the Zennonaize Cavalry. he retired to Azermathia only to find himself pressed into service again.
