Daughter of a winemaker and wife to General Vander Tariif, Gretchen does her best to act like nobility and is a leader amongst the other women of the Magnificent Dozen. Unfortunately, being born and raised in Haverston, she has no idea what this means and her country sensibilities always shine through. Still, she considers it her duty to share with the less fortunate and is great organizer of aid for the poor or unlucky. She has a passion for flowers and in a few short seasons has converted the Tariif manor into one of the most spectacular gardens in Azermathia. Despite their difference in years she adores her husband though is concerned that they have yet to have children.
