Second Elynthi War
Historians have called this war, which lasted from 493 AC to 583 AC, by many names. Soulmeliti often refer to its as the Occupation, referencing the nearly nine decades during which Elanthai Council forces occupied the Soulmeliti Forests and enslaved its people. Others call it Dyianr'ri's War, after the Kirsh'shaluush who started it.
Regardless of its name, it was a war of great violence despite the striking lack of battles. Thousands died at the outset as the People's Army ravaged Bren'niin and then fell victim to great magic at the Battle of the Fallen Moon. When New Solarin fell the following year, fighting in the war paused, though the violence against the enslaved Soulmeliti certainly did not. Finally, Thantherian Styvalhyme led a daring rescue of his people, evicting the invaders and ending the war.
