People's Army
Referred to by many "Dyianr'ri's Army," after the name of the Soulmeliti warlord who raised it, the People's Army began in Katzpütch in 488 AC as a band of malcontents seeking vengeance on the Elynthi for the Great War. While the army began as a mostly Soulmeliti force, it grew to include Humans and other races who felt slighted by Nosferian's children.
The army departed Katzpütch in 490 AC after Dyianr'ri had secured Veracous, the Soulmeliti blade of truth. Denied entrance to New Solarin by Vernal Styvalhyme, the army winters near Naz'Asketon before marching to Merdenkal.
After their victory over an army led by Kal Moshin Shal'Madogin Bren'niin, where they executed their prisoners and razed the town, they marched south and east, determined to scour the Peninsula of their enemy. Just outside of the Blighted Wood, however, they were met by small force out of Netterkiish, led by a single Elynthi in black robes, Selengar Shal'Ashen. Calling upon dark magics, he ripped Mora from the sky and smote the army. It was this defeat that led to Elynthi reprisal and the eventual occupation of the Soulmeliti Forests.
