Gryphon's Crossing Blacksmith
Centuries old yet ageless, few were alive when Paidrag first arrived in Gryphon's Crossing to establish his smithy, Hammers, Horses, and Other Handy Hardware. Even then he was reserved about his past. What, after all, might make a Soulmeliti craftsman emigrate from Hopki a community already consisting wholly of expatriates? Even in his everyday speech Padrai was - and remains - spare. He maintains the polite formalness one might find in New Solarin; a challenge with the practical abruptness found in both the Azermathian people and language.
Still, the people of the village were glad to have him. his skill at the forge was welcome and he found himself busily crafting pots, spades and other essentials for the growing settlement. When General Malakar raised his army, Padraig surprised everyone by exhibiting skill crafting arms and armor. His apprentices learned the art of making spearpoints and broadhead arrows while he crafted sabers and breastplates, outfitting the Republican Army with finely made weapons'. While his apprentices have come and gone over the seasons, his shop remains, Padraig living in a small apartment on the second floor. Today his business is mostly tools for the settlement, though he continues to outfit the army at nearby Fort Malakar.
A curious and private Soulmeliti smith who has been a fixture in Gryphon's Crossing for over half a century. He crafts everything from horses to sabres in his forge.
