Azermathian

The common tongue of southern Tarien.

Yatains colonized the Azermathian subcontinent after the Mage Wars, the region began to develop its own language. Similar to Yatian, in both vocabulary and grammar, Azermathian is written exactly as it sounds, using the Eldorian Script. Unlike Yatian, however, Azermathian does use accents to stress syllables. The relationship is so close, that many people, unfamiliar with both languages, after hearing them both, believe they are the same. As a young language, Azermathian borrows new terms heavily from Yatian and Eldorian.
