Jogar Merrin

(a.k.a. Janlges)

Comedic Actor

After his father left the Orkish Hills to follow his love of horses and serve in the Zennonaize Cavalry, Jogar found himself amongst a sea of hooves and grass. Always an outsider - both because of his species and because his father's unit moved from village to village - Jogar had to find ways to make friends over and over again. Beginning with his ability to tell a good a story and developing it into a perfect sense of comedic timing, he found acceptance amongst herders and soldiers alike.

With no desire follow in his father's footsteps, Jogar left for the Inner Seas, serving as handyman and teller of tales to pay his passage on various caravans until he reached Phelandria. His meager skills with saw and hammer brought him to the attention of Matheo Varnet who, being light of purse, needed a cheap yet competent labor. Jogar began building sets and then, as is the way of the theater, soon found himself on stage, stumbling over lines to the raucous approval of crowds. His knock for physical comedy often steals the show, demonstrating physical humor that his earned him the nickname "jangles".

With a deadpan delivery of lines juxtaposed against a booming laugh, audiences adore Jangle and critics generally ignore his antics, leading to larger and larger roles as Varnet tries desperately to fill the Foxtail Theater. Off the stage his childhood as an outsider has led him to charities that favor the expatriate Ork community, hosting dozens of events to raise funds for orphans of all species.
