Dono of the Zennonaize Confederacy
Portraits of this second century BC Dono show a young man with a striking handlebar mustache, each end meticulously oiled and curled. His face shows strong features and his brow furrowed over dark eyes, crows feet around them despite his young age. He was reputedly as skilled rider and savvy general, spending most of his time touring the Malpighien Steppes, leaving the mundane tasks of ruling to his advisors and younger brother. Sadly, he died at a young age, exploring the forests to the north and east of Wargun, the capital of the Confederacy at the time. The circumstances around his death have always been somewhat murky, though it is reputed that a tiger struck him from behind while his troop rode through the trees. While this was not unusual in and of itself, the fact that the military commander of that unit was later rewarded by the new Dono, granted lands in and around the same forests for his "valiant efforts to save my dear brother" has made many wonder if there was more behind the great cat's attack than has been told.
