Sun Elves
The Sun Elves are a subspecies of Elves found throughout Helarion and the surrounding lands. Alongside their mastery over Solar magic (a mixture of fire and light magic) and earth magic, the Sun Elves are also renowned for their martial ability, producing many of the Elvish peoples finest warriors, and are regarded as one of the greatest fighting forces in Taeva.

Sun Elves typically have dark skin, with black or dark brown hair, and green, brown, and amber eyes. Compared to other Elves, Sun Elves also tend to have a more toned physique, and can grow muscle more easily.

Culture and cultural heritage
While the Sun Elves place a high value on magic like the other Elvish kingdoms, they've also developed the strongest martial traditions among the Elves. This unique cultural trait can be traced back to the time of the Ithyrian Empire, when the southern territories that would eventually become the kingdom of Helarion were frequently on the front lines of the various conflicts with the rival Old Sythssyan Empire, which encouraged the local Great Houses to focus on greatly improving the martial proficiency of their armies in order to better protect their lands (one myth claims that many members of the Ithyrian Mage Emperors elite guard were recruited from among the Sun Elves for their martial prowess). Though no longer under the constant threat of invasion, the Sun Elves continue to maintain their martial traditions, producing some of the finest warriors and front-line commanders among the Elvish Kingdoms.

While similar to the clothing of High Elves, Sun Elf fashion is distinguished by its usage of warm colours (primarily red, yellow, and orange, with gold appearing among the upper class) and decorative elements, which are often solid shapes with sharp edges.
