Mountain Dwarves

Mountain Dwarves are a subgroup of Dwarves commonly found living within the various cities built among the peaks of the Frostridge Mountains. As the oldest and most widespread cultural group among the Dwarves, these are what most people think of when they refer to Dwarves. Thanks to their skill in smithing, crafting, and construction, as well as their role in the establishment of the Dwarven kingdom of Durfaehn, the Mountain Dwarves have played a key role in the history of their people, and continue to hold great prestige and influence among the Dwarves.

Culture and cultural heritage

Mountain Dwarves place great value on tradition and legacy, always striving to accomplish something that would be remembered by those who come after them. This focus on legacy has had a great influence on many aspects of Mountain Dwarf society, particularly their hard work ethic and their craftsmanship (including many of their greatest architectural wonders). Regarding their work ethic, Mountain Dwarves are renowned for pouring their all into whatever task they've set themselves to, believing that anything worth doing deserves nothing less than your absolute best effort. Unfortunately, their adherence to tradition also makes them stubborn and slow to change.
