Basic Information
Anatomy
The adult Males and Females of the species are largely the same except for the coloring and head. The coloring and vibrancy of the Females being more exotic and expressive. Their wings fold to a small size to accommodate living underground and is greatly useful for living indoors, or within more cramped spaces such as spaceships.
Dietary Needs and Habits
The Adults mostly only eat fruits and nectar, while still being able to consume other sources of nutrition, this is generally disliked. The Larvae strictly consume protein, starches and vegetables.
Biological Cycle
The female lays 1-54 eggs depending on how many she thinks she will be able to support, and how many would survive. Back in the day, before the forrests where claimed and the Artervi became masters of the planet, the female nad male would together go out and bury their eggs in specified locations, and then after 64 days they would go back out and recover the Larvae, however there was quite a high loss rate, this risk of the eggs being devoured and the relatively high gestation failure rate led to populations not exploding. Once the Larvae where recovered they would be placed upon the carcass of freshly hunted pray, be fed leaves or other vegetables. Then after a suitable amount of time and nutrition they would gestate into pupae, then further into adults. The Pupae would most often be burried underground in rooms a distance away from the main dwelling, where they need not be attended and carried nor risk death if the main burrow is attacked.

If you are in the military you are to wear an uniform at all times, ofcourse depending on situation and rank there may be differances (Dress uniforms, casual uniforms, combat uniforms etc.)
History
For the longest time the population of the species numbered only in the hundreds of millions and they were all on a single continent. This gave them time and the proximity to unite into a single nation and culture. With the advent of aircraft they spread across the planet in a great pace. There was one rebellion against the global state a couple decades after this event, but that however was swiftly put down by a combined effort of the church and the state.
Historical Figures
Emperor Aur Ocellatus was the first to unite original continent, he founded the senate in its modern capacity (Although with himself as perpetual President and with complete decisionmaking power), he subsequently was succeded by three Emperors of quality, until Smerinthus II decided the church needed to take a backseat. He was dragged onto the steps of the temple of Lucis Optimus Maximus and executed by firing squad.

Alien lives are practically worth nothing. Infact Artervi lives are not valued a great deal. See the Beaz incident
