REC-12

REC-12 is a DZ3 White Dwarf star orbited by no less than seven icy planets. This system is home to a large number of spaceborne, whale-like creatures that Thü records call the “Kalasto”.
However, the space whales typically prefer star systems with gas giants for protection as well as for a food source, while this system only has lifeless rocks. That is because this system is actually a giant Kalasto graveyard. Its not entirely sure why the creatures have picked it, but here elderly Kalasto have gathered to end their days upon the icy worlds. The surfaces of all seven planets are covered in the skeletons of the creatures.
The Republic maintains some research outposts in this system.
