Rüth
Geography
Rüth is a binary star system of a G7 V Yellow Main Sequence Star and its companion M9 V Red Dwarf. It boasts five rocky planets that balance between them almost in perfect alignment. The second and third planets from the main star are similar to the one found at Kuvin, but due to the system’s specialization, has had a very different term of events.
History
While the Thü leadership did abandon much of their civilization, they didn’t outright leave everyone. Due to the system’s important to building the evacuation fleet, those with enough connections, money, or luck ended up being brought along. The leadership appreciated their contribution to their survival, and realized having plenty of engineers to maintain their ships on their great journey would be an asset.
Both worlds became highly depopulated, and it seems quite a few battles have happened here as there where still many workers who were abandoned who thought they would be brought along. Most of their populations where disillusioned, believing in the evacuation of the Thü but disappearing at being left behind. The once great cities became ghost towns as people did what they could to enjoy what they view as their last days.

These worlds, suffering from such depopulation have recieved a great deal of immigration from Arrak, riviling even the colonies of the Artervi. There are yet still manpower shortages to fill all the jobs required to get the yards fully operational, therefore, the worlds of the Ruth system are exempt from military service beyond civilian engineer liasons.
The location of the Hyperplate machine is also the location of the largest ground based defensive structure in the Republic, the so called Citadel. This part factory part fortress is primary garrison of Republic forces in the eastern domains. It holds extensive Anti Orbital weaponry along with state of the art shielding. Recently upgraded with prototype 3360cm Neutron lasers (Upscaled version of the 1280cm Shipborne Laser) the facility is the most fearsom single installation in the Republic, easily being able to take on even the Coscinocera of the Navy.
