Inspo-August

What gives you inspiration?

Since we have all just come off of a huge writing spree, whether it was doing Summer Camp, Camp NaNoWriMo or both! I thought it would be a good time to write about what inspires us as writers and worldbuilders!   This is not a serious challenge. There will be no winner, but I thought this would be a good place to read through people's thoughts and inspirations. I, personally, have always loved when an author broke down their thought process for a certain scene or line, or when an artist talks about where an idea came from and how the final result came about!   For Inpso-August you will get a chance to info-dump to me all your inspirations, thought processes, and whatever else you want to share.   There are three main questions that I do want you to answer in your article though.

1. What is the main thing or one of the main things that inspired your world(s)?

2. What is your favorite aspect of your story/world and what inspired that aspect?

3. What are some writers/worldbuilders that inspire you to write/worldbuild?

Of course, once you've answered these questions feel free to talk about whatever else you want. Upcoming story ideas, worldbuilding concepts, anything! I'd love to hear them! Once you've finished leave your article in the comments!

I can't wait to read about your inspirations this month!

Best wishes to you in worldbuilding!

That's a great idea, I'll see what I can write up! Thanks for hosting this challenge!

Sit down, my friend, and let me tell you of Aran'sha . A world where the sands shift and the stars sing, where the wind carries secrets and the twin moons keep silent vigil over it all.

This was a lovely idea, and I had a blast discovering just what it was that made me tic. Enjoy!

If inspiration were a font available to all, we'd all be creatives. Do you find it odd that not everyone is a writer, poet, or artisan, then?

May the Fadelight illuminate your travels, friend.

I really like this way of just gushing about your own world! Thank you Ebelt!

What a nice little challenge! I added your questions in my meta. Thanks for the chance to reflect a bit. <3

I don't think I've ever taken a look at your world, but now that I've read your meta, I really want to! Bird--people I think is one of the top ten out of pocket things I've ever heard a writer say, so congrats on that!

Aug 29, 2024 22:56

Thank you! Haha, considering my world's origin in hindsight, the fact that I later became "the bird guy" at work shouldn't have been such a surprise... :p
