Into the Weeds: Conjuring Twisted Elementals

"Inverted elementals" or "twisted elementals" are elementals made up of the metaphysical anthesis of their parent element, such as the relatively well known salt elementals.     A theurgist with Spirit Magic ●●●● can opt to try to summon an inverted elemental from normal elements (a brazier of fire, a pool of water, etc) in much the same way she would summon a "common elementals" but it is difficult, +3 difficulty. A character with Spirit ●●●● and Necromancy ●●●● can summon twisted elementals at only +2 difficulty.   Mages can summon inverted elementals if they have the fourth circle Conjuration spell, summon elemental, but they suffer a +3 difficulty when trying to do so, +2 if they also have arcane Necromancy ●●●●   In either case, the difficulty to summon an inverted elemental is -1 (for a cumulative net of +2/+1) if the summoning site is saturated with necromantic or Void energy.   Using Spirit Magic ●● to disrupt or banish an inverted elemental is at +3 difficulty. A character with Spirit Magic ●● and Purification ●● only suffers +2 difficulty to do so.
The Void cover
There is a rare Advanced Training Merit (for two freebie points) that can let a spell caster manipulate inverted elementals with a cumulative -2 difficulty modifier. It is technically possible to have this knack without being an Infernalist, but anyone who demonstrates this ability is likely to be accused of Infernalism whether they are or not.
