Baron Cadfael ap Gorisonad
Cadfael ap Gorisonad is a Baron on paper that is a vassal of Count Rohdri ap Gruffyl and Duchess Maybn ap Kovenoth. In any event, Cadfael spends very little time on his own land and lets a Bailiff run the realm though his daughter and heir is spending more time there and seems to be auditioning to be a more hands on baroness in contrast with her father.
Duchess Maybn really has a weak hold on her counts and this attitude seems to trickle down, so Cadfael barely even corresponds with Rohdri. As long as the taxes are paid on time, no one complains. It is an open secret that most of the lords and ladies in Old Talama are underreporting their income in order to bilk their lieges on duties owed.
Most of Cadfael's money and status comes from his undeclared connections and schemes, not from his humble plot of land. Cadfael is the unofficial liason between House Gorisonad and the most influential guilds in Swynfaredia as well as the unofficial liason between House Gorisonad and the Masks. It is rare, but he sometimes acts as ambassador to the Keepers and Guardians. Cadfael has also cultivated a reputation for being one of the few Dragonbloods who treats tengku fairly.
Cadfael and his wife have a fine manor in Blue River City district near many other Dragonbloods. Cadfael like's to travel, so he is not always found here.
Cadfael's children (both squib and sorcerers) are all adults and generally living their own lives outside their father's shadow. They rarely spend much time in Blue River City if they can help it.
Baron Cadfael generally avoids flashy magical display with one major exception, he regularly casts Overland Flight, meaning he is at least a Fourth Circle Transmuter. He is at least a Third Circle Illusionist as he regularly casts Expanded Invisibility on himself and his entourage in conjunction with Overland Flight.
He was less subtle In his youth, than he is now. He regularly competed in archery contests and often did well. He did win an accuracy competition for invocation in his youth (though those contests draw fewer competitors than archery contests for obvious reasons). Whether or not is good at making powerful invocation now is anyone's guess.
Rumor is that as a young man he competed in martial tournaments in Fumaya and Uskala under and alias pretending to be a non-magic user free knight. The rumor is also that he never got close to winning any of these and he quit the practice after getting badly trounced at these events.
