The gods are the third order of divine beings. Unlike the deities of the first and second orders, the Gods are dependent for their power on their worshippers, so tend to have organised religions, cults and temples.
Cults, temples and worship of Gods is led by Clerics. Many Paladins also worship/follow Gods as well. Druids and Rangers worship
The Elemental Lords instead.
A consistent set of deities are worshipped by all cultures and races (except
Faerie,
True Giants and
Dragons who predate the Gods), but the names and forms of workship may vary from culture to culture, and as a result, the same deity might present quite a different aspect in different cultures. The main deities, with their most common names are:

There are also other deities, or rather creatures that are worshipped and are capable of granting divine favour and spells to clerics. Some of these are immensely powerful mudane creatures such as the largest of dragons. The
Azure Empress Heartswallower is one such, and is worshipped throughout the
Azure Empire.
The One is a deity only worshipped in the
Theocracy of Chalke, and having no spiritual presence outside - it is still a matter of speculation elsewhere who The One is. His followers claim however that he is the deity that lies behind all other deities, which are just avatars of the
The One.
