Helim
Helim is the god of the sun. In Perin-Galath, he is greatest of the gods, and in the Empire of Pelioth the emperor was his high priest.
Helim represents the life-giving heat and light of the sun. He is also a god of order and hierarchy. Those who defy him or harm his followers will face the wrath of his flaming arrows, for the sun can burn as well as nurture.

Holidays
The high holy day of Helim is the day of the summer solstice, which is a day long celebration of prayer and rejoicing.
In midwinter, at the winter solstice, the priests of Helim will fast and pray for 5 days, before they offer a sacrifice of one of pure blood to ensure that Helim the sun will return. For this to be most effective, the sacrifice must be willing to die for the good of all the people, and the more noble the sacrifice, the better the coming year will be.
