Perin-Galath
A lowland plain, site of rich cities and many empires. It is made up of the fertile agricultural lands of Perin, and the western half of the Galath steppe.
Geography
Perrin-Galath is a wide plain, watered by a number of rivers.
Ecosystem
Perin-Galath is intensively farmed agricultural land, and very little wild terrain remains.
Because of the seaosnality of the rivers, there is an ancient and complex network of canals and reservoirs that store water from the spring floods and release it gradually throughout the summer across all the fields.
Climate
Perin-Galath has cold dry winters and warm dry summers. Surrounding mountains mean that there is little precipitation in Perin-Galath - most of the water comes from rivers flowing into Perrin-Galath.
Fauna & Flora
The main crops of Perin-Galath are wheat and barley,
There are few dangerous wild animals left in this area, as it has been densely populated for thousands of years.
Natural Resources
Wheat is the staple food stuff of Perin.
Barley is also grown, and barley ale is the most common alcoholic beverage.
History
Perin-Galath is the site of the first human kingdoms and empires in Vanareon after the end of Elven hegemony.
Helim is the main deity of Perin-Galath. Traditionally, Perinese cities were led by priest-kings who derived their secular authority from their position as high priest of Helim, or were made high priest of Helim because they were the ruler of the city.
