Galath

A steppe area that originally ran across the whole of the north of Vanareon but is now restricted by the Ash Plateau and the lowlands of Perin.  Originally the homeland of Talishan Elven nomads, these have gradually been driven north by human presure.  
It is currently dvidied into two parts - Near Galath, which part of Perin-Galath and ruled by the Rankan Empire, and Far Galath with is part of the Theocracy of Chalke.  
In both regions however, the dominant culture is still nomadic human tribes herding cattle.
