Paladine
Paladine, The Dragon King
Paladine is a Fallen God who is currently stuck in the form of a Wood Elf. He is the current king of Sal-Emen, though due to an injury caused by Colter Brisbane, he was recently forced to step down from this position for a short time. The injury also stole his ability to transform into his Platinum Dragon form, leaving him significantly weaker than before. Despite this, he still openly walks amongst the people of Sal-Emen, claiming that should he be killed, he knows that he would be succeeded by a Human far greater than him.
While Paladine is much loved in his own city, there are those outside of the city who would happily see him dead. His sister Takhisis has sent her Hydra followers to the city many times to kill him, both by force and by subterfuge, but has never succeeded on completing the act. Other evil gods, and even those who just want him dead, have also tried to kill him, but his loyal servants have so far successfully protected him each time.
