Margarette "Mama" Julius (née Thatch) hails from the distant Kingdom of Aermond in Ofica, far to the north of the Tatharian Empire. She arrived in Tatharia Regnum during her youth, when the Empire was still solidifying its hold over the lands. Aermond, with its cold, windswept shores and deep-rooted traditions, shaped her character, but it was Tatharia Capitolina that would become her home.
Margarette’s journey south was born of necessity, driven by circumstances she rarely speaks of, though her eyes sometimes betray a quiet nostalgia when talk turns to her homeland. Once settled in Tatharia Capitolina, she met Efrem Julius, a kind-hearted innkeeper who shared her vision of a simple, stable life. Together, they built the Thatched Roof Inn into more than just a business—it became a haven for the Tathar people, a bridge between the past and present.
Now affectionately called "Mama Julius" by the locals, Margarette is known for her warmth, strength, and tireless work ethic. She is the beating heart of the inn, overseeing everything from the kitchen to the bookkeeping, all while nurturing her family and extending that care to her patrons. Though her Aermondian accent has softened over the years, traces of it still color her words, a subtle reminder of the northern kingdom she left behind.
Margarette’s history, tied to both Ofica and Tatharia, gives her a unique perspective on the changing world. She remains a stalwart figure in Little Tathar, one who provides a sense of stability to those around her, even as Magic and conflict reshape the Empire she now calls home.
