Trans Day of Visibility
Since 2009, TDoV has been an international celebration trans people and our accomplishments, as well as a way to raise awareness of the discrimination levied against our community.
Trans people have always existed and will always exist. Those who know that also know that trans rights are human rights. To help shine a spotlight on these facts, I challenged you to write or update one (1) article about a trans person, trans support, or related concepts in your setting.
Flash Challenge
I decided to run this challenge somewhat on a whim, halfway through March 31, 2025 - Trans Day of Visibility. Seeing as it's a day of
visibility, shouldn't we be visible in our fiction and worldbuilding just as in the real world? So I made a short, unjudged flash challenge to do just that.
While this challenge is over, the quest for visibility and acceptance marches on. Take this challenge and its submissions as inspiration to keep writing diverse characters and developing diverse worlds!
Rules
- Write an article about a trans person or trans support in your setting.
- Use any template as makes sense for your topic.
- Minimum of 300 words, no maximum.
- Start time is as soon as you read this. End time is 12am next Monday (April 7) in whatever time zone you're in.
- Share your entry's article block in a comment on this article to participate.
- This is unjudged. The reward is worldbuilding that supports trans people.

Submissions
A massive thank you to everyone who participated in this challenge!
Does it have to be a new article? I have a story I started writing after Summer Camp but set aside unfinished. This would be the perfect excuse to keep working on it.
Anything that gives trans visibility is welcome!
Speculative-Fiction Writing
I finished it!
