Laspura Dynasty

The Laspura Dynasty is a prominent familial group located in the Doric region, where the members of its constituent houses hold positions of great power, such as Surcount Hannu of Sjolund. The Dynasty traces its origins back to the Ardic migration south to the Doric region in the 46th and 47th centuries. It is believed that the primary and namesake house of Laspura traces its ancestry back to Saint Lauri, who is well known as a converter of the Ardic tribes to the The Hallowed Faith.   The heraldry of the House of Laspura is that of a deer skull impaled by crossed spears, a design inspired by the tale of Buuko the Buried, a mythical figure who would steal cattle and children from unsuspecting victims in the night, to take them to his mountain lair to devour. The Redcrest Mountains being close to the historical home of the Laspura's is one of the prominent locations theorised to have been where Buuko made his lair. Saint Lauri himself is said to be the descendant of those who finally vanquished Buuko, and carried a small bone necklace on his person symbolic of this victory.
