Saint Lauri

Saint Lauri is a revered figure within the The Hallowed Faith religion, particularly within the Grand Duchy of Canyndor, where Saint Lauri is said to have originated. Furthermore, Saint Lauri is particularly venerated by those of Ardic heritage, as Lauri had been granted sainthood after his passing due to his great efforts to convert the southern ardic populations to the Hallowed Faith.
Lauri is known to have proselytised the Ardic population who had settled in the Doric region, effectively converting those who followed the old Ardic Shifting God to the new gods of the Hallowed Faith. Though, he did this not without stiff opposition, with rulers of Ardic tribes often sanctioning attempts on Lauri's life. Lauri travelled primarily around the northern Doric region, modern-day Surcounty of Sjolund, though he had become famous for his sermons atop the great mound, located just as mile north of Sjolund. Though Lauri would eventually succumb to assassination by minions of the local Ardic chief, his brother Aurjo adopted his orphaned children and led a common rebellion against the chief, the child though to have been the progenitor of the Laspura Dynasty.
