Dartavoss
Dartavoss was a primordial serpent demon who inhabited the outer reaches of the realm of the gods, terrorising their creations by devouring the many creatures the gods creates and leaving great destruction in his wake upon Tuono's Corpse. The demon has murky origins, some believing that the demon has always existed as an evil entity among the gods, others believing that he was the manifestation of the anger and hateful desire that split from Tuono's spiritual being after he was released of his material bindings. Dartavoss took particular glee in his destruction of the gods' creations and would play sinister games of cat and mouse with the deities who seemed unable to capture or even kill the demon. As Dartavoss preyed upon the human creations of the gods, Suolija, their protector, sought him out in order to slay the serpent demon. Dartavoss defeated Suolija who would bring the word of the demons imperviousness to his powers. The god of war, Nuro, who had a particular dislike for the demon, managed to confront Dartavoss upon Tuono's Corpse and commenced battle with the serpent. He was unable to harm Dartavoss, only until the demon struck up against the mountainside of the terrain and a gash appeared on its pitch-black body. Nuro would relay his discovery to the gods, that Dartavoss could be slain by physical force, but that the demon may prove almost impossible to capture in its now weakened and cautious state. The gods sent a champion, Valtuutettu, to fight the demon. The two met in battle within the badlands and fought for 4 days and 4 nights before the gods' champion emerged victoriously. Though his physical body was laid to waste, Dartavoss would ascend as a spirit still to haunt the gods and their creations, though now unable to wreak the havoc he once did.
