Anttula
Anttula began to grow as a settlement due to its proximity with the shrine of Altti's resting place. As many Doric people flock to the shrine throughout the year, Anttula was primed to grow off of this influx. Due to the growing population of the settlement and its considerable wealth in comparison to the other settlements of the region, Anttula soon became the seat of power over the Ilppalla forest, the local lords moving from the fort of Tamnu to the north-east. This was a decision also reinforced by the local geography, while not situated upon a hill like many prominent settlements and homes of lords, such as Tamnu, Anttula benefited from its proximity to a ford upon the Tula river and benefited from the defensive aspects of the surrounding forest.
