The View

The View are worshippers of Vralei.

History

As all The 10 Pillars religions did, they emerged some time after Disus Kape discovered The 10 Pillars Structure. Nobody is sure exactly when The View began operating as an organised religion, as is by their design. The early Viewers operated in the shadows, gathering in secret locations. They established networks of spies and thieves, using their skills to acquire forbidden knowledge and valuable secrets. While clandestine, these activities gained them significant influence and wealth. With this, they built the first public temples of the View. This caused some strife within the religion, due to the emphasis on secrecy within the concept of Vralei. The religion split around 1490 PC. The split element called themselves the Eyes, moving into a less obvious religious visibility in the world. The View shifted their interests to knowledge gathering more than secrecy. Though even with their more public presence, they are still among the smaller of The 10 Pillars religions, likely due to the crossover of focus on information with Qualei.

Tenets of Faith

The View presents these as their tenets:

Seek the Unseen. Record all, remember all. Wander the hidden paths. Keep travelling to gain more knowledge. Share secrets in a way that maintains balance.

Priesthood

The overall structure of the priesthood is kept intentionally vague. Interactions with figures for a public face are done via the Veiled View, masked figures who represent the group. A code is used within the View to protect information.
