Plaza South

Demographics

The citizens of Plaza South are almost exclusively working-class citizens. They are merchants and crafters, making their living from visitors and a few wealthy clients. The notable exceptions are the Orzhov Syndicate clergy who reside in the extravagant basilicas and churches in the plaza.

Defences

Plaza South falls in a unique niche. It is not high-profile enough for constant Azorius or Boros surveillance, but is still a generally peaceful neighborhood. It is and ideal location for the white-collar, organized crimes of the Orzhov. Their thugs patrol areas of interest, protecting those in their racket and threatening anyone else.

Industry & Trade

This neighborhood is the hub of commerce in Precinct One. Specialty shops catering to tourists and the wealthy line the Transguild Promenade as it runs through the area. Its shops and restaurants tend toward the kitschy or gimmicky.

Guilds and Factions

The Syndicate has a hand in almost every business and profession in the neighborhood, while the Selesnya Conclave can be found running charities and conservation awareness programs. Many Golgari rot kitchens are found in this neighborhood.
