The Sludgespike
A mostly barren rock covered in greasy mud running from an ominous volcano: The Blubbermountain. The mud is greasy due to the ashes and soapstone deposits making the mud almost uninhabitable. The mud is cooked and an oily paste is created and used as a fuel and grease. At the edge of the rock is Helmaroc’s Rest, the main city of The Sludgespike region. The city is famous for its floating rock and airship industry. Busy with lots of trade, many faces come and go in the city.
Geography
A large rocky spike of land situated on the west side of the the Plane of the Cheesewalkers. It gently slopes down from the Blubbermoutains in the west.
Fauna & Flora
The rock is mostly barren save for a few patches of gritty looking trees. Dreklet Forest is the only forested area. And is home to the Dreklets. A small frog-like creature that live in hives.
History
It used to be a barren rock, with only a large colony of birds living at the tip of the rock. But that changed with the eruption of The Blubbermountain, the black sludge started to stream down over the rocky surface and changed the land.
