The Dwarven Kingdoms Period

Population Migration / Travel

Circa 890 PA - 790 PA

(Circa 7640-7770 of the Òrennéii calendar)
Also known as the Five Regions Period, this vast swath of time was dominate by the dwarven and goblin tribes. Humans were tiny populations of nomads. The trolls of the Black Isles were a powerful, yet minor faction, who arrived late in this period. The naga were also itinerant and not significant powers.   Gruthe was divided into five main regions. The northern part of the continent was held by Laohor (later known as the Illaohéin). Eastern Gruthe was divided in two, in the northern half of the East was Rheddor (Rheddaitéin southeastern Gruthe was held by dragons centred around the sacred mount Flamingrock (Suvata) and a goblin holding calle Chi. Southern Gruthe was lightly populated by the nomadic Mỳdria. The west was also divided by two factions, with the southern nation of DaoSvor (Svoréin), and to the north of DaoSvor was Crahn of the Òrennéii.   Near the end of this period, the Tlatlochans—emigrants from Xitzol—came to Gruthe. This became known as "the Yssian Landing" and occurred in the southernmost regions of Gruthe, circa 820-800 PA (7710-7730 Ò). The Tlatlochans were the ancestors of the Yssians. Although it was, more accurately the "Tlatlochan landing," the name "Yssian Landing," is used retroactively because it was Yssian historians who first documented the events.

Elsewhere, the Human presence in Gruthe consisted of the Mỳdria and the Qhélssénn (more accurately the *Gzīel there were smatterings of other human cultures but they were insignificant at this time. Only the Tlatotlys (proto-Yssians) were of any note among the smaller populations. The traud of Gruthai—the trolls of the the Black Isles—were present, but only a minor power, usually allied with the Eun Chi, and living among the Eun and the Eunu in occupied lands bordering the Òrennéii of Crahn in the West, and Rheddor in the central East. However, the trolls among the Eun Chi and Eunu tribes were not of any significant number. At the beginning of the era, the goblin tribes were schismatic, prone to internecine conflicts, and scattered across the continent, often in border areas claimed by dwarven kingoms. By the second century, goblin civilization was coalescing around Chi in Suvata under the guidance of their hobs. In subsequent centuries, their power would begin to threaten dwarven continental hegemony.
The most prominent centres of the Dwarven Kingdoms Era:
1. Sronnor the capital of DaoSvor and a centre of magical learning.
2. Aricc-nor and Crahn-nor in Crahn.
3. Gruthen humans of this era included the largely migrant Mỳdria. Who did have had a common meeting place and a semi-permanent city in the centre of their southern plains in later centuries. And in the northern highlands, the *Gzīel/Qhélssénns
4. The Tlatlochan foundation of Ys. Explorers and colonists from Xitzol across the sea established the Tlatotlys nation in the Southern regions of Gruthe.
5. Later in this period: The traud arrive in eastern Gruthe; harry the Rheddor, and conquer the Black Isles.
6. Eun and Eunnu tribes of goblins and their hobgoblin seers, with the assistance of troll mercenaries, found Eun Chi and begin their expansion.   Mỳdria diminishes as Tlatlochan settlements become permanent, and become their descendants become the Tlatotlys whose territory and influence expands throughout the south.
