Fraga

"Adding an egg to the Fraga"
— Peacekeeper saying meaning 'to spoil something by adding too much'
Fraga is considered by Pachians to be "the perfect dish". It consists of a precisely cooked steak, topped with a gel made from a combination of fruit juices and fat from the beast itself, which has a salty and sweet taste. Traditionally, it is made from ikkne steak, but any large red meat will work.

History

Primians do not generally spend a lot of time recording their history and as such the details of the creation of this dish have been lost. There is, however, a reputation which gives some indication of where this recipe originated.   The word 'Fraga' is formed from two ancient Primian words, the first meaning "perfection" and the second meaning "royalty". This suggests that the recipe or a version of it dates from when Primians had a Royal Family during the War Age, which makes it at least seven thousand years old. The word "royalty" would have been taken extremely seriously, so it is also safe to assume that at some point this dish was presented to a member of the then Royal Family and that they enjoyed it enough to put their name to it.

Significance

Fraga is widely considered to be the true highlights of Primian and Pachian culture. Although the dish itself is really only "tasty" to Peacekeeper tastebuds and even then can be considered an acquired taste. It is a great source of pride for Primians and Peacekeepers who hold it as part of their galactic identity.
