The Grand Duchy of Novaya is a predominantly Human nation located in Central Orienta. Its territories consist of the East Novayan Plains, a portion of the Frontier, Rekaland and Chegorsk. The Grand Duchy is bordered by Holzreich in the West and the city states of the Velvet Coast across the Artis River to the South.

Military
Novaya does not have a permenant standing army, instead relying on a levy system to raise an army in times of war. Most Novayan Nobles have a permenant retinue of Men-at-Arms that fill a law enforcement and personal protection role in peacetime. The Plainsfolk clans are militaristic raiders that often cross the border into Holzreich to pillage and plunder. In wartime, Novayan envoys make contact with the Plainsfolk clans and request their famed horsemen for campaigns.

The majority of Novayans worship the Novayan Folk Pantheon.
Foreign Relations
The Grand Duchy of Novaya has traditionally had strained relations with Holzreich. As of 201IE, the two nations are in a state of war with each other, the conflict commonly referred to as the Third War for the Frontier.
