Ohtánio-in-Morigana

Ohtánio-in-Morigana is a temple-campus dedicated to the worship of the goddess Morigana and the training of her young clerics, scribes, and monks. It is one of the six temple-campuses of the Kingdom of Scalados dedicated to the major gods of the Wild Dynasty.   The cold, isolated temple-campus of Ohtánio-in-Morigana sits northwest of Cúarta, in the northernmost province of Scalados. Despite its remote location, the temple-campus and its representatives retain power and respect within the Citadel of the Wild because of their reputation as fearsome warriors and keepers of intense magical secrets. Recently, they have enjoyed increased caché within the religion, since one of their own Warrior MonksLona te-Morigana—was recently elected Valòmar.

Assets

Ohtánio-in-Morigana has the most extensive library of scrolls, texts, and tapestries rescued from the ruins of Bjália. These texts are carefully guarded by the scribes of Ohtánio, and outsiders are not permitted to visit the archives except in limited circumstances under strict supervision. No one outside the temple-campus is entirely certain of the knowledge they contain, though it is widely believed that the secrets to Clone magic and other discoveries of Navec the Bryght can be found within them.

Priesthood

Ohtánio-in-Morigana is the smallest school in the temple-campus system. It only teaches seventeen students at any given time, though these seventeen can be any mixture of clerics, scribes, and monks. Numbers of mature ordained clergy at the temple fluctuate, but typically remain in the double digits. Admittance as a fully ordained member of the formal priesthood requires not only the typical WIld Dynasty vows of chastity, poverty, and circumspection, but also a holy pilgrimage to a site of many secrets. Moriganian priests have traveled to the ruins of Bjália, the Feywild, and even the Mystic Lands.
