Vallaki (vah-LAH-key)
Perched atop a berg nestled within the Svalich woods just south of Lake Zarovich, 
this small town provides a haven that reflects hope and happiness among the dark dreary landscape. A fifteen foot wooden palisade encircles it with guards stationed at each gate and patrolling along a raised scaffolding walkway. Buildings, though in good repair, often have several garlands draping beneath their eaves showing previous festivals that have come and gone. A main road meanders up the hill toward the west before splitting north and continuing westward. Residents rapidly traverse the road intent on their business with smiles fixed upon their faces. They answer questions directly and quickly before continuing on their path.
The tavern, Blue Water Inn, can be found just past the top of the hill and provides succor and relaxation to weary strangers on a lonely road.
