Coffin Maker's Shop
A coffin-shaped plague of wood hangs precariously and silently outside this two-story building. All windows are shuttered closed and all doors locked. The owner, Henrik Van Der Voort, is known to respond to many new inquiries with "We're closed!' This is the local coffin-maker's shop. A place which all too-often finds demand and customers in Barovia. Rich and poor alike, all are equal before death, and all one day come here to Henrik's shop to seek a final, or at least seemingly-final, abode for what remains of those they once loved.
History
A month ago, a well-dressed lady named Vasilie Von Holtz promised him good business and companionship if he would just do a small favor for her. After agreeing, several pale creatures moved in upstairs in the storeroom and have since threatened him daily to do as they bid. It was these creatures, these vampires, that forced him to buy St. Andrals bones from Milivoj. He claims the bones are hidden upstairs, but he's too scared of the vampires nesting nearby to get them.
