The Blue Water Inn
Approaching this large, two-story wooden building, its stone foundation sagging, tile roof are a grim reminder of an aging building. Puffs of gray smoke issue from the brick chimney, as several ravens take perch upon the eaves, watching travelers with intelligent eyes. Above the threshold hangs a painted wooden sign with a deep blue waterfall.
A large tavern room comprises the entirety of the ground floor. Decorated with several large tables and chairs and a modest bar along the west side. When open for business, the proprietors of the inn, Danika and Urwin Martikov, tend to the needs of the guests, she tending bar and he cooking up the delicious smells from behind the kitchen doors. A modest, but respectable establishment, travelers can expect to pay a full electrum per bed per night, and be treated to a bowl of hot beet stew and fresh bread included. For those looking for a more epicurean experience, wolf steak (1 electrum), a pint of Purple Grapemash (3 copper), or a Red Dragon Crush (1 silver) can be had as well.
Considering his small business something of a sanctuary from the evils of this cursed land, Urwin has installed sturdy wooden shutters so that both windows and doors can be securely barred from the inside. Caring for more than just his patrons, many find him equally protective of the ravens that frequent the roof as well.
Danika and Urwin have two children, Brom and Bray, who often scurry around the tavern floor. All four live, as most inkeepers do, at the inn itself, in rooms they keep in the upper floor.
Most days you can find patrons streaming slowly into the tavern around noon, seeking wine, food, and company. Though travelers from afar also find their way there, the inn has its own faithful regulars as well. Best-known of those who claim the Blue Water Inn as their tavern of choice are Rictavio--a colorfully dressed half-elf, who claims to a legendary teller of tales--and Szoldar and Yevgeni Szoldar and Yevgeni--hunters that supply the Blue Water with wolf meat.
