Solari
The Solari are a religious order whose origin stretches back to the time before Octisafell's gods came down from The Great Father. They were nomads of the Sacala Desert. Since the sun (Sola) is such a force in their day-to-day lives, it was natural that they revere it as a god. The sect has nearly disappeared from existence, but some followers still travel with the Al'Duine and preside over the Soladari festival at Tranquil Haven.
Mythology & Lore
Sola (the sun) is the giver and taker of life. By observing Sola and her patterns, the people can predict weather and determine the best paths to take in the desert.

Worship
The Solari worship Sola by bowing in prayer three times a day. They also carry small icons and shrines to commemerate the different stages of the sun cycle. Some including the priests wear a pendant of the sun and kiss it when a circumstance is particularly good or bad.
Priesthood
There is one high priest who travels with different groups of Al'Duine throughout his/her life. There are lesser priests and priestesses who travel with nearly every group of nomads. They all come together at Tranquil Haven each year to celebrate Soladari.
Political Influence & Intrigue
The Solari are a peaceful people who want nothing to do with politics. Their only goal is to worship Sola.
