The Elven people officially formed a governing council to facilitate a standardized rule of law. The capital city was decided to be the settlement at Crystal Lake.
As groups of Elves began drifting apart and favoring different regions of Erilis, physical differences began to appear between the separated populations. As time wore on, three distinct sub-races emerged: The Illasil, the Shalasil and the Sylasil.
As Elven society became less nomadic, the city of Fairfalls became a more logical capital than Crystal Lake.
With the founding of Fairfalls, many other activities of the Elven people became centralized and thus in need of standardization. The founding of three organizations for that purpose marked the most significant change in Elven society since the official founding of the Elven Kingdom. The Order of the Light, the Circle of the Hundred Paths and the Arcane Academy; these three organizations quickly became the backbone of Elven social order.
High ranking members of the Shalasil sense an intrusion into their world and send an envoy to the King in Fairfalls to report. After a few weeks of meetings with the Council and consulting the heads of the Order of the Light, it is decided that new precautions must be put in place to ensure the safety of the world. They assemble volunteers from among the Shalasil to form the Shadow Watch and inform the Crown of potential threats.

Encroachment on the Elven Kingdom's border by the Erditi Tribesmen of the Rarus Plains set off a series of skirmishes. Open war resulted and lasted for several years. The border remained a contested territory with sporadic fighting for millennia afterward.
