Plural: Nusauri. Also known as the Dwarves, they are the first of the Child Races.

Growth Rate & Stages

Nusauri transition from infants to adolescents in about ten years and adulthood by the age of fifteen. They can live to an age of two hundred.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Their primary food source is fishing off the west coast of their mountain homes or farming in the small plains that surround the bay that runs into the encircling mountains.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

They have a unique affinity with stone, allowing them to feel the vibrations and pressures in any stone they are in contact with. Usually this is used to find impurities or weak points while mining or handling quarried stone and ore. With focused practice and a prolonged contact with a section of stone, Nusauri are able to detect objects in proximity to the same contiguous stone.

They regard the Lasil with a certain awe, having been under their direct care since the creation of their race. The other races are viewed more cautiously, bordering on suspicion.
