Dreagor
The region of Dreagor is a ginormous desert located to the north-east of the realm. It is largely uninhabitable for many races, so therefore is dominated by the main three. The Naga, the Deathstalker, and the Hogfolk. Bordering Dreagor to the west, is Pentala, the savanna. Bordering it to the east is an ocean. To the south/south-east is Autumwood and Uran, and to the south-west is the region of Oakren. Big Anne Lake represents the border between Oakren and Dreagor. A small river leads into it from Dreagor, named the Scorpion Channel. The Scorpion Channel leads from a small, spring fed oasis named Half-Way Point. A large rock formation named the Rock of Truce stands there. It is where the truce between the Hogfolk, Naga, and Deathstalker was reached to finally end the third War of the Wastes. It is a trading hub and mini town where people of all races can coexist peacefully. Scattered around Dreagor are bones of nearly every type of creature, the most notable being the unidentified giant skull and ribs of what appears to be a lizard-like being. There is a canyon in the ground near the Hogfolk camp. It is called Haagarion In the Hogfolk tongue, approximately translating to “Slice Between the Earth.”
Geography
Bordering Dreagor to the west, is Pentala, the savanna. Bordering it to the east is an ocean. To the south/south-east is Autumwood and Uran. And to the south-west, is the region of Onak. Big Anne Lake represents the border between Onak and Dreagor. Fauna & Flora
Dreagor’s vegetation and animal life are very limited because of its harsh climate, but cacti have been known to grow there, as well and a fruit known as Scorchfriut. Scorchfruit can add a kick to any dish, and is surprisingly savory eaten raw. Some animal examples are the Deathworm, Red-Tooth Viper, and and the Giant, and Dwarf spidorcion. Around some oasis, such as Half-Way Point, more plants and animals can be found.
Natural Resources
Dreagor’s massive selection of bones can come in handy for a nasty spell or two. Compact sand from 3 feet under can supposedly make the hardest glass known to Oakren.
History
No one is really sure of Dreagor’s deep history, but it is know that the Naga, Hogfolk, and Deathstalker all moved in at about the same time. It is not known for certain, but most scholars agree this probably started a war. There have been multiple documented wars, as well as possibly the most famous wars, the Wars of the Wastes. Three in total, the combined time of them is Twenty-Two years.
Tourism
Half-Way Point is an amazing trading hub and beautiful destination if you can get there, and you will often see more than the three native races there. Some scholars and adventurers take trips to see the grand skeletons of Dreagor, either so study them, marvel at them, or occasionally, to loot.
