Bedwys Cadarn
Some demons have taken the fight to their own home, little success mind you. Bedwys Cadarn is probably the most famous, active case of a famous criminal alive that have evaded the death penalty. I have yet to meet him, but I believe he is not much of a talker about his past life anymore.Few have evaded the authorities and lived a healthy life when they are captured. Perhaps Bedwys Cadarn should be grateful for surviving the death penalty? Bedwys is a famous man that has since put aside his old criminal ways after he was exiled from Nekuram by the orders of Arthon. During the height of his career, he was roaming the countryside of Central-Nekuram with a band of other bandits and criminals, fighting guard posts and carrying out deads against the government. While not openly revolutioner or rebelling, Bedwys motives is forever clouded when he was the only survivor of the band after Arthon took it upon himself to end the five-year-long campaign that Bedwys had.— Everam, Teller of Nimenra

Personal history
Born in a village in Central-Nekuram, Bedwys Cadarn was the son of a stonecutter and his wife. Most of this early life is little bespoken of from himself. He had his problems with other kids and the older people and in his teens ran away from home to find himself in the larger town of Malostone. There he was soon caught by his father only a week later but by then he had already extended contacts to a tavern. After he began working an honest life as a stonecutter like his father, he soon left it for the tavern and worked there. How life continued on from there is unknown, but when he started his band of bandits he was 31 and two years later they were famous for open attacks on government caravans of taxes and material.
The inability of local authorities to track and capture this band made it harder for the province itself. The noticeable effect was the nobles in control put harsher restrictions on movement, which in turn only increased attacks. Eventually, a full search was commenced to track the band, only for Bedwys and the band to move out of the province, it is believed, and attack closer to the capital, and more caravans... More and more the nobility of the province and other provinces seemed incapable of handling the situation. This did go on for four years and the band expanded to attack the recourse caravans for the army and other state infrastructure, many out in the open. This was when the newly appointed regent Arthon began his work to stabilise all of Nekuram and resolve the situation of the banditry that targeted vital income sources.
In six months, much to the annoyance of the Necur Council, Arthon tracked down the band, slowly exhausting them and their resources. As it turned out, they had become popular with Bedwys old stonecutter rots and with tavern owners along the roads of the region where they got free housing. The open skirmishes soon turned on the band and eventually forced them out into the open in a daring raid against the headquarters of Arthon. As it turned out, Arthon tricked them and the band fought bravely until they escaped. Arthon and his forces tracked them down, only to find Bedwys the only one alive in a cave complex with some of their accomplished loot. In 2538, the leader was captured.
What happened next is disputed. Arthon felt pity, Arthon was soft, Arthon was having fun and many other explanations have been told about the punishment. In the end, Bedwys was banished from Nekuram and sent out of the gates of Unsirgea and Fenhergea and into Marlun. Perhaps he thought Bedwys would take up arms against him and he could finish it, or that he would be a collateral casualty of war when The War for Marlun was started by Arthon again.
What is known of Bedwyn is that he lives in Glarn after having tried to find his way around the great landscape that is Marlun. If he plays a role in the war is yet to be determined... but... that is for the future to say...
