Session 84 - Winner Takes All

General Summary

We rejoined our Misfits as they approached Bone Rock! Eleanor spoke to Sasha about what’s been on her mind, but kept it vague, and ultimately couldn’t talk about it right then.
Meanwhile, Finn woke up Hamilton and the two of them met up with Sasha to make sure everyone was ready. Their conversation was interrupted when Captain Grimm addressed the crew. He ordered everyone to load their weapons into the barrel, with Sasha and Hamilton keeping theirs in a separate one marked with a charred handprint.
Finn took Shen aside and thanked him for all the help, but Shen refused to accept until everything was said and done.
As the ship drew closer, Shen waved a flag to gain safe passage into the mouth of the massive skull cavern. Everyone, loosely bound in chains, was brought off the ship and taken to Jinskarr. Sasha and Hamilton found their moment to break away from the group, hiding away from the crowd of drunken Mainlanders. But they quickly realized that Dimo had decided to come along for the ride.
Meanwhile, Finn and the others went up some stairs to Jinskarr’s quarters. They found Jinskarr standing by a long table, and he greeted everyone. Shen informed Jinskarr of the loss of the Revolt, to which Jinskarr was barely able to contain his frustration. He antagonized the group by stealing Grant's cane and poking fun at Finn and Grimm. When he grew tired of that, he invited everyone to have a seat and enjoy some lunch.
Down below, Sasha, Hamilton, and Dimo assessed the situation. Looking into a nearby room, they saw some Demons harvesting a glowing, amber liquid from the cavern walls, and creating something akin to a molotov with it.
After a long back and forth that saw the birth and death of many plans, Sasha and Hamilton decided to use the greatest weapon at their disposal: a rock. They distracted some of the guards to get closer to a far doorway, then initiated phase 2 of their plan: 2 bottles.
The plan went off without a hitch, somehow, and the three snuck past the crowd and into the next room. They found themselves in a room with two Mainlanders. They were able to easily sneak by them, but not before overhearing that one of the Mainlanders was a fan of Hamilton's father. He took note of this, but moved on.
Back upstairs, Finn and the Reapers shared a tense lunch with Jinskarr, who continued to antagonize his guests. Finally, he admitted that he wanted information; which only Finn could give him. He revealed that someone had told him that the party was from Remington, which prompted Jinskarr to question Port until he got answers. In the end, Jinskarr needed information on only one thing… the Stranger.
Finn suggested the two of them play a game, and give Jinskarr the information if he won. The two continued to raise the bet, until they came to a deal: if Jinskarr wins, he kills everyone in the room. If Finn wins, Jinskarr dies.
Meanwhile, the others utilized the rivalry between the Demons and the Ravagers to distract them long enough to sneak by. And as luck would have it, when they rounded the corner they saw Port, unconscious, in a cell. Standing in front of it were Jinskarr’s three ladies, who are apparently named Ficc, Facc, and Foocc.
They overheard the women discussing Jinskarr’s paranoia, and expressed doubts on continuing to stay with him. Hamilton came up with the idea to use Dimo as a way of convincing them with his… charm? Dimo accepted, and emerged from hiding.
In a stunning performance, Dimo wooed all three women into confusion. He unveiled Sasha and Hamilton, and the three of them offered to help the women escape, so long as they would help in return. Facc and Foocc were convinced, and unlocked the cell.
Examining Port, she had sustained some bad bruises, but was fine otherwise. Everyone discussed the plan going forward, when Ficc suddenly backed toward the door. Sasha stepped in her way, and in response, Ficc splashed a vial of blood on her.
After a moment of confusion, everyone heard the sound of booming footsteps and a deep growl. Hugo was coming...
Finally, back upstairs, Finn decided to play blackjack against Jinskarr. The two of them had an intense match, but it was Finn who won out in the end.
Jinskarr made it clear he was going to hold up his end of the bargain, but asked for one more game. He told Finn that the two of them weren’t so different. They’d both been betrayed by someone they trusted. Jinskarr told Finn of his past, and asked the question: Did Finn trust the Captain?
To put this to the test, he handed each of them a gun loaded with one bullet. The game was that they would each decide whether to fire nothing, or fire the shot. Then, they would turn to each other and fire. If there was only one survivor, Jinskarr would leave them with all of the power he had accumulated over his time in Mainfair.
Captain Grimm and Finn shared a look, and prepared their shots...
