Riverlands
The Riverlands is the hilly, heavily forested region directly north of the Rosemouth Mountains and the Great Forest. It is the source of many major rivers that run southeast towards the Cradle where they empty into the sea. It is considered to run from Northern Aisoa into the Cradle.
Land travel is difficult through the Riverlands, and most settlements lie along rivers. Those roads that do exist straddle the rivers tightly until it is impossible - few bridges have been built to connect the plateaus that loom over the Riverland's valleys.
Natural Resources
The small mountains and valleys of the Riverlands are plentiful in metals and gems, and the dense forests surrounding the rivers provide ample lumber and game.
The Riverlands is also the native home of the Jumbi berry, which grows along rivers and streams throughout the region. Favored for its hallucinogenic properties and tart-but-sweet flavor.
