Feywild
The Feywild is the dimensional plane that holds the world of Nailara. It is a vast collection of planets and stars that folds in upon itself, and is the largest known plane in existence. It exists between the planes of Earth and Water, and holds connections to many other planes. The Feywild is considered to be made up of two major realms - the Material Realm and the Dream Realm.
Unlike many settings, the Feywild and the Prime Material plane are one and the same in this universe. It is the place where all fey originated, as well as innumerable other species. Though few people on the prime material plane would call it the 'feywild', but it has developed a reputation elsewhere - largely due to the existence of the Ancient One who dwells there, Qamara.
Material Realm
The Feywild is a wild, chaotic place that houses innumerable sentient species, and is the origin of all fey. The humans and mortals who live in the plane tend to congregate in the least chaotic places colloquially known as the 'Material Realm' or 'Prime Material Plane', where geography is not fickle enough to be changing on the daily. Despite its name, it is not a true separate plane, just a collection of connected places that rarely change. But even more common than these mundane locations are places of wonder and magic - deep forests where the sun is long forgotten, howling canyons that curve and curl, and grottoes where animals live in peace. These are the realm of the fey, where little can be taken for granted. In these places, the plane folds in upon itself and the Realm of Dreams manifests. It is said that the Material Realm is in close conjunction with the Planes of Earth, whose stubborn and unchanging nature keeps the fey chaos at bay.Dream Realm
Thought and intent hold great power in the Realm of Dreams - things and even people themselves can end up seeming very much like a storybook. This is not simply happening by chance, it is the fundamental nature of the plane taking hold. The idea of a knight in shining armor reinforces itself as long as the concept stays true. A well loved teddy bear might be just as potent a magical artifact as any arcane design in the Material Realm. The denizens of the Dream Realm tend to hold little value in classic material wealth like gold and silver. In most cases, trade is done with favors and bartering - but there are some things that remain valuable in both realms. Gemstones act as the physical manifestation of dreams themselves, and hold great power.Geography
The planet of Nailara is well known as a place of great importance in the Feywild, but it is not the only place of importance. Dozens of other planets and their inhabitants exist with their own rich histories - many are almost entirely populated by the fey and spirits you might expect to see in the Great Forest. Among planar travelers, these places far outnumber Nailara, and give the plane its name.
Looking to make a classic "abducted to the fey realm" style story? Fret not! Though they don't exist on different planes, there are powerful fey that have mastered _planetary_ travel. Their realms resemble classic folk tales of fairy realms and the domain of elves.
