Viscount Silverbane formerly served in the Truris Kingdom's navy where he reached the rank of commodore. His operations mainly took the form of anti-piracy, but he also provided escort to merchant convoys traveling across the ocean.
In 1409 he was named Viscount of Castleport by King Fragnoth Sunstrider with all of the duties and responsibilities inherent in the rank, to include defense of the city and execution of the regent's orders.
Accomplishments & Achievements
In 1399, then Captain Silverbane commanded a small fleet comprised of the HMS Fortune, the HMS Whitehall, the HMS Andania, and the HMS Starling in the Battle of Haversoll Harbor against the pirate vessels The Victory Wolf and The Impolite Rambler. The pirate ships had been raiding towns and villages along the southern coastline of the Truris Kingdom for about a little more than a week at that point and Captain Silverbane had received word that they were headed in the general direction of Arrowport. He assembled a fleet of available ships and headed to intercept the raiders.
Captain Silverbane caught up with the pirate vessels near Haversoll Harbor where the vessels had berthed for the night. He ordered his fleet to surround the ships and engage as soon as they were within range. His own flagship, the HMS Whitehall, also carried a warmage, Brycen Dargostis, who fired multiple fireballs at the vessels, setting them on fire. The ensuing panic on the ships made it considerably easier to subdue the vessels and the crews.
For his initiative and his success, Captain Silverbane was awarded with multiple commendations, including a promotion to commodore.
